    “I really did the research for my first tattoo at age 54. It needed to be personal, work-related, and a concept that I had difficulty explaining. I'm in violence prevention and wanted something based on the social ecological model, which is not an eye-catching visual, so interpretation was important. Ryane had some watercolor ideas before I showed up, and I loved them….”

    History

    Denver is where The Wolf Den first began in 2017 — built from the desire to create a tattoo studio that felt warm, intentional, and deeply community-driven. What started as a small vision quickly evolved into a space known for thoughtful artistry, meaningful connection, and an elevated client experience. While our home is now rooted in St. Paul, the spirit of Denver will always remain part of The Wolf Den’s story.

    Now based exclusively in the heart of Minneapolis / St. Paul, The Wolf Den continues its next chapter inside a gorgeous historic building in St. Paul, Minnesota. Our eco-forward studio was designed to feel inviting, inspiring, and comfortable — a place where clients can slow down, collaborate closely with artists, and create body art that feels deeply personal.
